I’m so excited to be a part of Pattern Anthology’s Winter Wonderland Pattern Tour! I love this collaboration of designers and I know every collection they release is going to be a hit…and what a bargain to get all these patterns for 40 bucks!!
The patterns I used form the collection is the See Kate Sew’s Juliet Capelet and The Train to Crazy’s Holly Trousers. Let’s talk capelet first – Such an adorable wardrobe addition and a brilliant design. The cropped length is right on trend and reduces bulk. Since this fabric I used is super awesome (A felted knit purchased from Joann’s), I decided to highlight it’s pattern and played around with a herringbone design for the center of the hood. I LOVE it! The interior is a super-soft stretch lace in the perfect shade of purple to compliment the colorful exterior
The Holly Trousers are so well-made! I love that you can buy a pattern from a blogger friend and know that the construction and fit is profesh! The slim fit is perfect for my slender girl and the belt loops are perfect to add a skinny belt when needed. I used a beautiful dark turquoise twill (also from Joann’s) that has a bit of stretch in it. It’s perfect!
You can’t go wrong with either one of these patterns. much less the whole collection! Go HERE to check out the rest of the bloggers who are showcasing their takes on the collection. I love seeing all the different styles!
