That’s what happened to me when I discovered the kids’ pattern designer, Cali Faye. I forget now how I came across her store, but when I saw her style and how perfectly simple, yet stylish they were, I had to buy every. single. pattern…
These in particular are the Haute Hippie Jacket and the Wide Leg Pants. The patterns are as straight forward as they come, too. The patterns are downloadable straight from the store and offer quick page assembly. <HERE
The slim cropped jacket is right on trend and the fit is perfect. The fabric I used for this little ensemble was purchased at Joann’s. It’s a twill/denim fabric with a little stretch to it. I’d love to do a faded denim fabric in this jacket. I might even lengthen the back a tad so it hits more right above her waist.
I made the Wide Leg Pants before and loved them (you can see them HERE), especially with the crocheted edge trim. These pants are comfy and easy to wear. They are playground-ready, but sophisticated enough for church.
Next on the to-sew list from Cali Faye is the Raglan Hooded Coat. Adorbs!
