Remember those corks I dyed a few weeks ago?
I made this art piece with them for the new living room makeover I am in the middle of…
I love all the varied heights and color tones of the corks. It’s fun to include special occasion corks in the mix too! Makes for great conversation and interesting tales of reminiscing about each one.
I tried many different scenarios, but none of these three were really the look I was wanting to convey in my formal living room. I do think all of these designs would be fabulous in the right setting!
I ended up with a modern, geometric design to stay in keeping with my theme.

Here’s how you can make your own:
Plywood cut to the size you want your finished art to be
Stain for wood (optional)
Glue gun and glue sticks
Stain your board if you are including this step. I like the stained effect, because you will be able to see nooks and crannies of the board beyond the corks.
Arrange your corks in the design you prefer. Play around a little bit! You aren’t using glue at this point, just getting a feel for the shapes you want to be using and if your color combo is working…
Use a pencil, and ruler if needed, to trace your design on the board. Remove all the corks and start building your shapes first….
Once the shape is complete, you can start filling in with the main-colored corks…
Hang it and instantly have a unique conversation piece!
