Cute! If you could attach the number part with velcro (probably the whole circle, not just the number), you could reuse it for other kids/birthdays.
Another great idea - also love the idea of making a crown that you can update - it could then be a family tradition/crown. We have a birthday tradition that everyone has the day off work/school and we spend the whole day together as a family. Breakfast, lunch and dinner....it's a lot of fun.
