We have been making these burgers for a few years now and cannot make them any other way.... we're stuck
It is just too good to make regular old burgers anymore. If you don't like bleu cheese, don't be scared off! You cannot even taste the cheese, and there are not big chunks of cheese in the burgers...it melts into the meat with a mild goodness. Read on...
You will need:
3 lbs. ground beef
1/2 packet ranch dressing powder
1/2 cup bleu cheese crumbles
3 cloves pressed garlic
Salt and pepper
Recipe makes 8
We use this hamburger press and it is awesome! When I bought it, I was doubtful it would get used, but I liked the idea of it. Well, hubmiester loves it! It makes uniform burgers and doesn't get your hands all yucky!
Even though there is cheese in the meat, we still add our cheddar cheese on top....can't resist
How yummy is that? We topped these with sliced avocado, chipotle mayo (recipe below), shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, and PW's Onion Strings.
Out of this world!
Now, go make you some. Here is the chipotle mayo recipe:
Use the other half of the ranch packet
1/2 cup mayo
1/2 cup milk
The juice out of a can of chipotles in adobo sauce (about 1 Tablespoon)
Mix together and chill for at least an hour. It also makes a great dipping sauce for the onion strings, or french fires, or chips... you get the picture
Enjoy!

I am a hamburger nut and this looks outof this world. We just made Southwest burgers yesterday with crushed chips, salsa, cheese and onion and I was thinking a chipotle mayo would be fab on them. Thanks for sharing this fabulous looking burger.
Mmmmm Soooo good. I love meat, but my husband doesn't so we do'nt own a grill. I sure wish I did. These look delicious, and I LOVE that hamburger press, brilliant! It's invetions like that that make me go "why didn't I think of that, it's such an obvious thing to create!" I just started a link party and I would be honored if you'd consider adding your crafts to it! We're having flower headband giveaway as part of our first party too! http://imtopsyturvy.com/index.php/2010/07/topsy-turvy-tuesdays-1/
