I don't know about you, but my kids were bored 10 minutes after they started their summer vacation. So, I took inspiration from all the Summer To-do lists out there (like here)
and made a Bored Board...
Something for my punks to look at when they think they have done it all....
If you'd like to make one or something like it, just follow along:
Supplies
One Canvas 16x20
Spray paint of your choice
Various scrapbook paper
Mod Podge
Paint Brush
Sharpie
Spray the edges of your canvas with the spray paint and let dry
Start cutting your scrapbook paper. I used varying heights, anywhere from 2" to 3.5". Since my scrapbook paper is only 12" wide, I had to cut 2 of the same pattern so I could overlap them to make the full 16" across
Arrange your pattern on the canvas, just to make sure you have enough cut and you like
the order of the paper
Remove the paper, keeping it in order to remember the placement and start mod podging it down in place. The mod podge can kinda make the paper curl, but don't freak out, it will relax once dry.
After the Mod podge is dry, start writing your suggestions. I typed mine up first and crossed them off as I went along. If you aren't confident in your writing skills, you could always use stickers, but that could get costly. If you do use the sharpie, just do a few practice runs on a plain sheet of paper!
After all the lettering is complete, apply another healthy layer of Mod Podge
Stand back and admire your work
Now, don't let those punks give you anymore excuses.
I have sent my boys to the Bored Board several times already... and they can always find something to do after looking at it
I have linked up this project to all these partys...go check them out!

That turned out great and it looks easy enough to put up and take down when you want to! Amazing idea!!
This is a great idea, I love the fact you added a few 'chores' too!
I might have to adapt this idea for our house (I would have to think about pictures/icons to represent each activity as my daughter doesn't read yet! either that or big brother would have to help her out..)
Just a quick note to let you know that a link to this post will be placed on CraftCrave today [12 Jul 12:00pm GMT]. Thanks, Maria
What a great idea! My youngest is 13, but I think he would still enjoy this! Thanks for sharing!

What a fun idea - and you can use it over and over! Do your kids actually go weed the garden?
Haha...Yes they do!!!! One of my boys actually vacuumed out my car the other day and LOVED it!!!
What a fun idea! Wish I'd seen this cute idea a few years ago when my kids were a little younger!
Great job!
You did an amazing job! Thanks for the inspiration.
This is a great idea, and a great all year gift idea! You should add it to your tutorials so it doesn't get lost in old blog posts in the years to come!
Great project and so bright and cheery! Kids ought to love it!!
So fun! So now all you have to do is point! :)
I have tried this in the past.
My boys seem to always find a way to get around the "weed the garden" one.
I love the idea of making it colorful.
