I have been sewing my little heart out this week participating in Elsie Marley’s Kids Clothes Challenge. Basically it was a bunch of us nutjobs ladies trying to all get some sewing done, and why not do it together! I made Punk 1 and Punk 2 each a pair of shorts. Punk 3 made out like a bandit by adding to her wardobe, 1 skirt, 3 tops, 1 dress and a pair of shorts.
The boys picked out this fabric themselves….why?, you ask?
Do we like cowboys? NO! Do we like Horses? NO! WE LIKE GUNS!
They were smitten over having anything guns on their attire. I just used a McCall’s Shorts Pattern and whipped them up in about an hour…Twin Punks were thrilled!
I began the week with this Lazy Days skirt. It turned out great and I will definitely be making more soon.
This dress pattern is from Dana and this version turned out so cute. I’m lovin the fabric too. Its a ribbed knit….very light and breezy
Next up was the popsicle top.
Lastly, I made this halter top from a FREE Oliver + S pattern. You can download the pattern, but you must buy the magazine STITCH for the instructions. But, it’s totally worth it….there are a ton of fun and easy projects in the mag. The shorts are my own design, adding the matching bias tape from the top.
Here is a sneak peek at my new project….Dots, Dots and more Dots!
