It's Finished

If you have been following my progress on the dreaded project, then you know the accomplishment this is!

The fabric: Pretty to look at, horrid to work with.  It frayed and slipped and mocked me every step of the way, but I beat it!

The pattern:  Super cute, but oh so confusing!  It is a special Project Runway design from McCall's.  It's nice they let you pick all the elements, but that makes for a little more paying attention to the steps.
I love how I have the freedom with downloadable patterns to cut each size to my liking, instead of having to fold the pattern to get the size I need.
So I had the idea with this store-bought pattern, to just make a copy of the pattern piece and then cut it to my size.  It made for one less headache along the way

Back of dress

As I was making this dress, I swore I would never make it again.  In my delerium, I couldn't believe that anyone would even make it at all!  But now that it is done and I see how adorable it is, I think I might make another....just without this satan satin material.

Happy Easter!

Pretty! - but I know how that is when you have good intentions, then get halfway thru and shake your fist at the project. Then you just have guilt til you get 'er done...and promise yourself it will be done differently next time! It's all a learning thing, right? (:
